+ Payment, Billing & Insurance

PAYMENT

  • Why we require payment up-front, and why we charge for missed appointments – Hope Integrative Psychiatry is a low volume office where your booked appointment is reserved in advance for you. Since we do not overbook, a missed appointment represents a loss for our staff and to the center, therefore we require a 48 hour notice of cancellation for all appointments.
  • Why do we not take Insurance
Most insurance companies contractual requirements are too limiting for Integrative Medicine to provide the quality of care we believe is needed for your optimal recovery and health. It is our belief that by working through our difficulties fully, complete recovery is possible and mental health care costs should be a time limited investment.
  • How you can bill your own insurance
After payment is made to our office, the bills can be submitted to PPO insurance plans as “out of network” directly by you. You will be reimbursed dependent upon your individual insurance plan. Please contact your insurance company for information on your coverage for “out of network” providers.
  • Respectfully, we are not providers for any HMO insurance or Medicare. Medicare patients are also required to pay upfront and per medical regulations may NOT be eligible for reimbursements.
+ Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance or Medicare. Some insurance carriers may cover medical services performed by our clinicians. We will provide you with a detailed receipt for services performed for you to submit to your insurance carrier directly.

NO SUPRISES ACT: GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, out-of-network healthcare providers and healthcare facilities are required to inform individuals upon request or at the time of scheduling healthcare items and services for out-of-network services, a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges for the year.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care could cost over the year.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are using out-of-network benefits an estimate of the bill for services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests or office visits.

You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

+ Financing Options

We believe with a whole person approach complete recovery is possible for most people and therefore care should be a time limited investment. Hope Integrative Psychiatry now accepts the following programs to help finance your care:

+ Virtual appointments

YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY ARE OUR MAIN PRIORITY

During this unprecedented time, we at Hope Integrative Psychiatry understand the stress, anxiety and general fear associated with the COVID19 Crisis. To this end we are offering our patients the option of using telemedicine for any appointments. We are providing appointments via zoom or google meet to accommodate our patient’s clinical need’s.

Please let your Dr. or the practice manager if you desire to have your appointment virtual.

Throughout the U.S., healthcare providers are considered an essential service and are required to remain open. Patients are allowed to make appointments with healthcare professionals even if “Shelter at Home” rules are in effect.
